Spain vs Luxembourg Prediction and Preview – 09/10/15
Euro 2016 preview – Spain vs Luxembourg prediction
Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal are unavailable for Spain due to injury and therefore, some changes will be required at the back. Further forward, Andres Iniesta is also injured and striker Diego Costa is suspended.
Luxembourg are without defender Chris Philipps who is suspended and could be replaced in the starting XI by Massimo Martino. Manager Luc Holtz will be keen to avoid a heavy defeat here and will probably opt for a defensive line-up, with five at the back.
Possible Line-ups

Prediction
Spain need a win in this match, to secure their place at the Euro 2016 finals next summer. Since losing 2-1 in Slovakia, Vicente Del Bosque’s team have won 6 qualifying games in a row and sit top of Group C. Furthermore, Spain are unbeaten at home in 31 matches, winning 27 of them will be hugely confident of getting the job done in style, against a team ranked 142 in the world.
Luxembourg have nothing but pride to play for, as they are too far adrift to claim a play-off place. The best they can hope for is to finish in fourth place and improve on their world ranking. Although scoring goals has been a problem, the biggest difficulty for Luxembourg has been keeping clean sheets. They have conceded 19 goals in 8 group matches and have failed to win any of their last 23 away games.
There is only going to be one winner here, it’s just a case of how well Spain play on the day and how resilient Luxembourg can be at the back.
