Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich Town Prediction, Betting Tips and Preview
Nottingham Forest take on Ipswich Town in a crucial Championship match this Sunday lunchtime. Read the match predictions to find out why a home win is the betting tip at the City Ground. The Tricky Trees come into this match on the back of a 2-0 defeat away to Queens Park Rangers and must win to be sure of survival. Meanwhile the Tractor Boys are safe from relegation and were last seen losing 0-1 at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
Nottingham Forest are hopeful that defender Danny Fox and striker Zach Clough will return from injury here but centre-back Jack Hobbs remains a doubt. Matty Fryatt, Stephen Henderson and Ross McCormack will not feature for the home side. Britt Assombalonga has already created some memorable moments in his time at Forest (see video above) and will be the danger man up-front for the hosts.
Ipswich have terminated the loan deal of Toumani Diagouraga and sent the injured player back to Leeds. They have a number of their own players in the treatment room and are particularly short at the back. Left-back Jonas Knudsen and centre-half Steven Taylor are out, while Adam Webster continues to struggle with an ankle problem. Christophe Berra and Luke Chambers should therefore partner up in central defence.

Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich Town Prediction
Nottingham Forest are in charge of their own destiny; if they better the result of Blackburn Rovers they will stay up. If both teams get the same outcome, Blackburn need a two-goal swing to finish above Forest. It’s very much in their own hands and they’ve won two of their last three matches at the City Ground.
Ipswich Town look like a side already dreaming of their summer holidays. In back-to-back 1-0 defeats away to Rotherham United and at home to Sheffield Wednesday, they offered little to get excited about going forward. It’s also been five games since the visitors kept a clean sheet and Forest will certainly be looking to get on the front foot.
The potential ramifications of this result mean there will be a tense and nervy atmosphere and that will filter down onto the pitch. I don’t see many goals in this game but Nottingham Forest will have the motivation to get over the line against a side that has already downed tools.
