Free golf betting tips for the HSBC Championship at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club this week. A top quality field headed by Henrik Stenson and course debutant Dustin Johnson have assembled in Abu Dhabi for the first event in the three week Desert Swing. The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship returns to the course which has played host to this tournament since its inception in 2006.

The 7,583yd Par 72 course is a flat track, with narrow fairways, quick Bermuda putting surfaces and water featuring on nine of the holes. Sunshine all the way for the tournament with only light breezes, so expect another low scoring renewal. Previous winners around here come in all shapes and sizes, but recent stats suggest our golf tips should have power which is certainly no bad thing around this layout.

Golf betting tips for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship

Joost Luiten 28/1 Paddy Power E/W 1/5 odds 7 places

The first golf betting tip is Joost Luiten who has been practicing hard on his game in Dubai for the last couple weeks in preparation for his seasonal debut. The Dutchman had a really solid season last year, with the undoubted highlight being his second win in his own KLM Open (check out his post win celebration with the tournament ground staff-well worth a watch!). This classy ball striker has plenty of good course form around this track, with his last three outings resulting in a Tied 6th in 2013, 6th in 2014 and a Tied 5th last year. He played well in all three Desert Swing events last year, so plenty of reason to suggest another strong start to the season from the Dutch birdie machine.

Thorbjorn Oleson 50/1 E/W Paddy Power

The Dane can be a class act on his day, he’s just a little hard to predict. So if we are going to tip him I always like healthy odds and and a track record at a course. We have to go back a while to 2013 and beyond to find his best form at the course. Allowances may be made as he lost a little form in the last few years until he came back with a bang last year with a win in the team format in the World Cup and a win at the Turkish Airlines Open. Whilst the course has had a few changes over the years, there has to be hope that he can get back to form on a course where he has been placed second and has had numerous top five places.

Byeong Hun An 28/1 E/W Paddy Power

The final golf tip this week is awarded to the classy Korean Byeong Hun An. The 25 year old Florida based youngster has showed on both sides of the pond in the last couple of seasons that he is player who is well capable of contending in this quality of heat. His ultra impressive 2015 victory in the BMW Championship at Wentworth gave notice that the young Korean is the real deal and he narrowly missed out on a maiden win on the PGA Tour last year with a Tied 2nd in the Zurich Classic. He has course form having finished Tied 12th on his course debut in 2015 and Tied 5th last year, and his powerful attacking style of play seems ideally suited to these birdie shoot-outs in the Desert.
