France entertain England in an international friendly match on Tuesday night. Read the match predictions to find out why a draw is the betting tip at the Stade de France. France suffered a shock 2-1 defeat away to Sweden on Friday and will be looking to make amends. Meanwhile, England were expected to be too strong for Scotland but needed a late equaliser to draw 2-2 on Saturday.

France vs England Preview

France are expected to make numerous changes for this friendly match, with Didier Deschamps keen to test out some of his younger and less capped players. Presnel Kimpembe is tipped to come in at centre-back, while Rabiot could join Kante in midfield. Dembele and Mbappe are likely to play wide roles in attack, with Alexandre Lacazette leading the line.

England boss Gareth Southgate is set to start with Fraser Forster in goal, which will mean under-fire stopper Joe Hart dropping to the bench. Kieran Trippier could make his debut and Aaron Cresswell will be hoping to earn his first start but both are likely to be on the bench. Jesse Lingard will play on the right-flank, opposite Raheem Sterling whose cross set up captain Harry Kane’s late equaliser against Scotland.

France vs England Prediction

Sweden shocked France on Friday and it’s expected that a number of their fringe players will be looking to make an impression here. Les Bleus have a wealth of young talent and that may add some energy into this exhibition match. One could argue that the home side’s second string would give England’s best XI a tough 90 minutes.

The Three Lions will retain a number of first-choice players for the trip to Saint-Denis. There’s no hiding from the fact that they played poorly against Scotland but it did take two brilliant free-kicks from Leigh Griffiths to breach an otherwise watertight defence. Being strong at the back is something the visitors will play on here and they could try to frustrate their hosts.

A tight game is predicted and goals could be at a premium. England may not always look convincing going forward but they’ve given little away from open play of late. I can see both sides cancelling each other out in this one.
