Lazio will be hoping that Federico Marchetti can prove his fitness for this match. Should that be the case, then Simone Inzaghi will have a full squad to choose from. Wallace is expected to pip Stefan de Vrij for a position alongside Stefan Radu in defence. The rest of the team should have a familiar feel, with Keita and Anderson flanking Immobile in the attack.
Roma will be without Mohamed Salah who is ruled out for two months with ankle ligament damage. Leandro Paredes and Alessandro Florenzi are also out but Stephan El-Shaarawy could recover in time. Edin Dzeko scored an absolute beauty in the Europa League two games back and will lead the line for the visitors.

Lazio are in a rich vein of form and will be hoping to leapfrog their city rivals by winning this. They did well to get a 1-1 draw away to Napoli three games back and followed up by winning 3-1 at home to Genoa. It was more of a workmanlike performance away to Palermo last time but Lazio are up to fourth in the table on merit.
Roma are their own worst enemies at times, with dips in concentration spoiling the good work. That was the case when they lost 2-1 away to Atalanta but they were certainly on song when thrashing Viktoria Plzen 4-1 in the Europa League (see video above). Defensive frailties were still evident against Pescara but they look a really good side going forward and will be expecting to score here.
There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Lazio’s last 3 home games in the league, a stat that also applies to 12 of Roma’s last 14 away games in Serie A. These sides should give us a terrific battle on Sunday but the feeling is that they will cancel each other out. I’m tipping a score-draw here and anticipate it being a thrilling spectacle.
