Monaco come into this match following a comfortable 4-0 away at Angers which was the latest of three successive victories for the current Ligue 1 champions. They sit second in the league, 12 points behind PSG but have pressure from third-placed Marseille who are looking to secure second place for the guaranteed Champions League spot.
Monaco were dealt a blow in their recent game against Lyon when top-scorer Radamel Falcao went off with a thigh injury and is expected to be out for three weeks. The Columbian striker has 17 goals for Monaco so far this season but manager Leonardo Jardim thankfully has other options up front in Stefan Jovetic who found the net twice in Saturdays win over Angers.
Along with Radamel Falcao, goalkeeper Danijel Subasic and midfielder Adama Traore are also likely to miss Friday’s match through injury.
Dijon are 12th in Ligue 1 and currently six points above the relegation zone. They added a bit of breathing space in their last two matches with consecutive wins over Nice and Rennes. They have both legs of their Europa League games against Lokomotiv Moscow following Friday’s match but they also have some important league games against mid-table teams which will be a priority to secure safety for next season.
Dijon don’t have any new injury concerns but they will still be without their trio of midfielders Jordan Marie, Xeka and Frederic Sammaritano.
