Brazil vs Colombia Prediction and Football Tips
Copa America football tips – Brazil vs Colombia Prediction
Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho may be back in contention for this one but might have to settle for a place on the bench. After his dreadful error that lead to Peru’s goal in Brazil’s opening match, Jefferson will be under pressure but should get a chance to prove himself against Colombia.
The pressure is on Colombia manager Jose Pekerman, to make changes to the team following the opening defeat at the hands of Venezuela. Falcao continues to struggle for form and Colombia have plenty of other options in attack but it’s likely Pekerman will continue to persist with the Chelsea target.
Probable Line-ups
Brazil: 4-2-3-1 formation: Jefferson; Luis, Luiz, Silva, Fabinho; Elias, Fernandinho; Willian, Neymar, Costa; Firmino
Colombia: 4-2-3-1 formation: Ospina; Zuniga, Zapata, Murillo, Andrade; Cuadrado, Sanchez, Cardona, Rodriguez; Falcao, Martinez
- Brazil have won 10 of their last 10 matches
- Colombia have won 7 and lost 3 of their last 10 matches
- Over the course of their previous 10 matches, Brazil have scored an average of 2.2 goals and conceded an average of 0.3 goals per game
- Over the course of their previous 10 matches, Colombia have scored an average of 1.8 goals and conceded an average of 0.6 goals per game
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Brazil’s previous 10 matches
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Colombia’s previous 10 matches
- The last time these teams met in a competitive match was the 2014 World Cup quarter-final, Brazil came out on top 2-1
Neither team made a spectacular start to their 2015 Copa America campaign but having lost, the pressure is on Colombia to get something from this game.
Brazil’s poor defensive display will give Colombia’s forwards hope that they can score a few goals and secure a much needed three points. However, the threat of Neymar at the other end of the pitch will have to nullified.
With neither team performing particularly well as a unit, it could come down to the individuals involved to make something happen in this game. A moment of brilliance from Neymar or James Rodriguez could be all it takes to win the match. Likewise, an error from David Luiz or Cristian Zapata could be all it takes to lose it.
We say: Brazil to win and both teams to score at 7/2 with Bet365
