Fantasy Football Tips 14/08/15 – Roundup
Goalkeepers
Romero (6 Points)
Mignolet (6 Points)
As advised both keepers scored well with a clean sheet each, which could see both rise in the transferred player list.
Defenders
Smalling (7 Points)
Another clean sheet for Smalling, making him the joint second scoring defender thus far. Though it may only be gameweek two, United look solid at the back and unlikely to concede many this year, so if your lucky enough to currently have Smalling at your service, well done because his price is sure to rise very soon.
Midfielders
Walcott (0 Points)
Unfortunately my prediction was wrong on this occasion with Wenger deciding to stick with Giroud up top, with Walcott not even making a substitute appearance.
Ayew (7 Points)
Though I may be wrong with Walcott, another goal from Ayew meant he has become one of the highest scoring midfielders thus far. I mentioned how both flanks attacked the box throughout the Chelsea game and not much changed against Newcastle, hopefully more of the same against Sunderland and recommend keeping him in your side.
Forwards
Kone (5 Points)
A decent return this week from Kone, but a big drop from the 11 he scored on the opening weekend. I did say he was an investment and though it may only be small, his value has already started to rise.
Ighalo (2 Points)
Another apology on the cards for me this week, though I was correct in predicting Ighalo’s start, a dull goalless draw between Watford and West Brom meant a low scoring week for the Watford striker.
Teams to avoid
Newcastle
As expected no Newcastle player recorded any real points this week after defeat to Swansea and I still this is unlikely to change in recent weeks.
Crystal Palace
Other than Ward who scored, it was a low scoring week for Palace men and the advice to avoid these players has come up trumps.
