Bristol City vs Huddersfield Town Prediction, Betting Tips and Preview
Struggling Bristol City play host to promotion chasing Huddersfield Town in a live Championship clash this Friday night. Read the match predictions to find out why an away win is the betting tip at Ashton Gate. The Robins picked up a vital 0-1 win away to Wigan Athletic in their last match but remain in the relegation zone. The Terriers also won 0-1 away, beating Brentford to remain within six points of the automatic promotion places.
Bristol City vs Huddersfield Town Preview
Bristol City will go with Matty Taylor and the fit again Tammy Abraham up-front, as Milan Djuric is out with a hernia. Mark Little has a torn hamstring, which could mean midfielder Korey Smith continuing to deputise at right-back. The home side have an otherwise fully fit squad, with Callum O’Dowda and Josh Brownhill hoping to force their way back into contention for a start.
Huddersfield are still without injured midfielders Kasey palmer and Harry Bunn while Sean Scannell and Tareiq Holmes-Dennis are short of match fitness and will not be involved. Attacking down the right flank has been a feature of their play this season, with Tommy Smith laying on nine assists and Elias Kachunga bagging ten goals, so Bristol City will need to come up with a counter measure.

Bristol City vs Huddersfield Town Prediction
Bristol City’s win against Wigan gives them a fighting chance of beating the drop and there are plenty of teams above them still looking nervously over their shoulders. That was their first victory in eight games and it’s difficult to see them backing it up with another win here. The Robins have struggled for goals in their last few matches, failing to score in two of their last four outings.
Huddersfield Town’s back-to-back wins against Aston Villa and Brentford ensure that their promotion dream lives on. At the very least the Terriers looked nailed-on to make the playoffs. The visitors will need to cut out the sloppy mistakes at the back though, having sailed close to the wind a couple of times at Griffin Park last time out.
The visitors arrive in great form, having won eight of their last ten Championship matches. The last four meetings between these sides have produced over 2.5 goals and I can see that being repeated here. It’s difficult to make a case for the home side coming out on top and Huddersfield will win this easily.
