Inter Milan vs Sassuolo Prediction and Preview – 10/01/16
Serie A preview – Inter Milan vs Sassuolo prediction.
Inter midfielder Felipe Melo serves the second of a three match ban for his high kick on Lucas Biglia in the defeat against Lazio on 20 December. Roberto Mancini gave Marcelo Brozovic his first start in midfield since November at Empoli and the Croatian may start again. There is competition for places at full back and across the front line where Mancini has rotated on a regular basis.
Sassuolo midfielder Simone Missiroli returns from a one-match ban while Lorenzo Pellegrini faces similar punishment after receiving his marching orders for a second yellow card against Frosinone on Wednesday. Coach Eusebio Di Francesco is waiting on a return date for central defender Emanuele Terranova who has been out of action since 1 November.

Prediction
Inter bounced back from the home defeat against Lazio with victory at Empoli on Wednesday. It was a typical performance from the Serie A leaders with goalscoring opportunities for both sides restricted to long range efforts and Inter left with their 10th 1-0 win of the campaign. Mancini’s men have only conceded in two league games at Guiseppe Meazzo this season but lost on both occasions. A clean sheet will be first priority as they have only once scored more than one goal in a home game.
Sassuolo have lost ground on the top five having dropped points against relegation candidates Hellas Verona (1-1) and at home to Frosinone (2-2) in the last two league games. The visitors have only won one of the last five league games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of those games. Their record at Inter is not good, beaten 7-0 here last season and 1-0 on their first ever Serie A visit in the previous season.
Sassuolo will be determined to avoid a repeat of last season’s rout and another narrow win for Inter looks on the cards.
