Horse Racing Tip – 6.40 Naas 25-04-16

Naas stage a cracking Listed sprint at 6.40pm on Monday evening in the five-furlong Woodlands Stakes which has attracted a field of ten speedsters including the British-trained Monsieur Joe along with participants from the powerful stables of Aidan O’Brien and Jim Bolger. But it is the Edward Lynam pair of Moviesta and Fort Del Oro who can fight out the finish with preference for the latter who receives a handy 5lb from her stablemate.

The daughter of Lope De Vega has done all of her racing over a furlong further but dropping back to the minimum trip should not be a problem as the filly is all about speed as she showed when proving too good for fellow rivals The Happy Prince and Flight Risk at the Curragh on her final run last season.

That was just the fifth career start for the filly who has the potential to make her mark at the highest level during the present campaign, starting with a victory on her seasonal reappearance. Moviesta has found life tough since winning the King George Stakes at Goodwood in 2013 but got off the mark for Lynam at the Curragh last August but may have to give best to his stable companion on this occasion.
