Horse Racing Tip – 4.55 Punchestown 29-04-16
Bonny Kate was sent off a well-backed 13-2 favourite for last month’s Boylesports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse following a hat-trick of novice chase victories. The Noel Meade-trained six-year-old travelled like the possible winner of the 3m 5f marathon until the horse’s stamina began to run out in the last half a mile, something which should not be a problem in Punchestown’s 4.55 on Friday over a more suitable 2m 5f trip. This progressive performer can get back to winning ways at the main expense of top weight Emily Gray and British raiders Centasia and Cresswell Breeze.
The mount of Sean Flanagan has taken to fences really well this season and looks a potential Graded performer in the making. Off what looks a lenient mark of 136, the daughter of Beneficial should be up to beating the ex-Kim Bailey inmate Emily Gray in receipt of 12lb. Centasia just got the better of another British challenger in Cresswell Breeze at Warwick last month and preference this time is for the latter who looked unlucky when falling four out at Cheltenham recently.
Hat-trick seeking Solita is another who could go well under jockey Paul Townsend but is now 10lb higher than when winning at Fairyhouse last time so looks up against it in receipt of only 2lb from the selection.
