Our weekend football prediction and tips for the final, decisive round of matches in Europe’s top four elite league’s. The titles have already been decided in England (Leicester City), Germany (Bayern Munich) and Italy (Juventus), leaving the Spain’s Primera Division alone in going to the final day of the season.

It’s down at the bottom of the league where most excitement will be generated this weekend with clubs fighting to survive in the top flight in all four countries. In the Premier League, three teams could be competing to avoid the drop depending on tonight’s results at Carrow Road where Norwich take on Watford and at the Stadium of Light where Sunderland host Everton.

In Germany, Werder Bremen and Eintracht Frankfurt go head to head in a match that will decide who goes out of the Bundesliga. It’s between Palermo and Carpi for the third relegation place in Italy while in Spain, there’s the title and two relegation places to be decided.

Premier League Weekend Football Prediction and Tips

Sunderland have the opportunity to decide the relegation places tonight. Norwich and Newcastle will join Aston Villa in the Championship should the Black Cats beat the Toffees. Sunderland will need to win back-to-back home games for the first time this season but will be buoyed by a terrific performance when coming from 2-1 down to beat Chelsea 3-2 on Saturday. Meanwhile, Everton appear to have pinned their season on a failed FA Cup campaign and have only won one of the last nine league games. Norwich must beat Watford to have any chance of survival in the Premier League and if it does go the weekend, the Canaries will head to Goodison for another must-win game against Everton. Newcastle entertain Tottenham on Saturday and will avoid the drop if they win and Sunderland fail to get two points from the last two games. Tottenham’s loss at home to Southampton was bad news for the Magpies as Mauricio Pochettino’s men still require a point to finish above North London rivals Arsenal. Sunderland will have a second bite of the cherry at Watford if they fail to beat Everton but they must have a great chance of getting at least two points from the last two games. The prediction is for Sunderland to survive and Newcastle and Norwich to be relegated.

Bundesliga Weekend Football Prediction and Tips

Eintracht Frankfurt host Werder Bremen with only one point separating the two relegation rivals. Frankfurt require a draw to ensure safety and they will fancy their chances after pulling off a remarkable win at home to Dortmund last weekend, their third consecutive victory after looking down and out a month ago. Bremen hammered Stuttgart 6-2 in their last home game but provided little threat in the goalless draw at Cologne last weekend. Frankfurt look to have the momentum and the prediction is Bremen will be relegated. The tip for the match result is 1-1, the outcome of three of last nine games at Weserstadion.

Serie A Weekend Football Prediction and Tips

It’s between Palermo and Carpi for the final relegation spot in Serie A and Carpi, with the superior goal difference, must better Palermo’s result against bottom-of-the-league Verona. Palermo are unbeaten in the last four but it won’t be easy on Sunday as Verona are coming off the back of a win at league champions Juventus. Carpi have lost the last two games but Udinese were woeful when losing 5-1 to Torino in their last home game and the players appear to have their minds on other things. Fabrizio Castori’s side could well return with all three points from Udine but in may not be enough to survive. Palermo’s destiny is in their own hands and we predict they’ll avoid the drop by beating Verona, the tip for the match result is Palermo to win 2-0.

La Liga Weekend Football Prediction and Tips

Atletico Madrid blew their title chances last weekend when losing at Levante and Barcelona require a win at Granada to retain the league crown. Real Madrid trail by a point and an expected win at Deportivo is unlikely to be enough to win La Liga title for a 33rd time. Barca have recovered from the blip they suffered last month and have smashed 21 goals without conceding in the last four games. Things are more complicated at the bottom of the league where two from Getafe, Sporting Gijon and Rayo Vallecano will be relegated. Getafe go to Real Betis and will survive if they match the best result from Rayo and Gijon. They have won the last two away games and a third will ensure another season in the top flight. However, Betis restricted Barcelona when losing 2-0 in the last home game and had won the two previous games at Benito Villamarin. Gijon entertain Villarreal and must better Getafe’s result while at the same time, at least matching Rayo’s should they get a point or more in their game. On the face of it, Rayo have the easier game against already relegated Levante but haven’t they already spoiled one potential party with that win against Atletico? The key could be Villarreal and will they put in a repeat of the no-show against Deportivo last weekend? Gijon have won three of last four at home and are capable of winning again if Villarreal are not at their sharpest. Getafe will do well to get at point against Betis and the prediction is Getafe and Rayo to join Levante in dropping to division 2. The decisive match result tip is Sporting Gijon to beat Villarreal 1-0.
