Horse Racing Tip – 3.10 Ayr 18-05-16
The last time the Kevin Ryan-trained Al Khan passed the winning post in front was last April when landing a seven-furlong handicap at Ayr for his then handler David O’Meara. Almost thirteen months later the son of Elnadim can finally get his head in front once again, at the same venue and off the same mark of 88.
The seven-year-old was put up 8lb for that neck victory over Finn Class and despite several creditable efforts has found life tough during the last year. But with the handicapper relenting and the mount of Joe Doyle showing definite signs of a form revival, the combination look poised to strike in Ayr’s Ciroc Handicap at 3.10 this afternoon.
Making a quick reappearance following a neck defeat at Thirsk on Saturday Al Khan should go one better at the Scottish venue with the lightly-raced southern raider Hakam likely to prove the biggest danger.
