Free Horse Racing Tip – Cambridgeshire
Newmarket’s three-day Cambridgeshire meeting is the highlight this week and where we’ll find our free horse racing tip.
During the last 40 years, Saturday’s Betfred Cambridgeshire has seen three dual winners in the shape of Baronet, Rambo’s Hall and Bronze Angel, with the last named attempting to become the first horse to win the historic handicap for a record third time this weekend. However, the Marcus Tregonning-trained seven-year-old will have his work cut out to prevent our Cambridgeshire tip, Third Time Lucky, from joining the aforementioned list, as the narrow winner of twelve months ago looks to have been trained with this race in mind all season.
This will only be the third start of the present campaign for this week's racing tip and the four-year-old looks to be peaking at just the right time following an eye-catching run at York's Ebor meeting last time when failing to get the clearest of runs behind Firmament. Beaten less than two lengths in fifth place Third Time Lucky had been dropped 2lb by the handicapper and will be running off a mark of 100, 5lb more than last year.
Richard Fahey's lightly raced gelding is open to plenty more improvement and despite a guaranteed field of 35 looks the one they all have to beat. Market leader Sacred Act may turn out to be well ahead of the handicapper but may lack the experience to take such a competitive heat on just his sixth career start.
A bigger danger to the Cambridgeshire tip could well be last year's runner-up Master Of The World who gave the ill-fated handicap "good thing" Franklin D a fright at Goodwood during the summer and seems to reserve his best for this type of contest where a fast pace is guaranteed.
