Both sides are without a win in 5 Championship outings, so a draw doesn’t suit either side here. Fulham are 12th in the table, just 2 points above 16th placed QPR and both sides desperately need a win to stop the rot.
Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic may ponder a formation change after watching his side equalise following the introduction of Chris Martin last time out. Should that be the case, then Lucas Piazon could drop to the bench. Kevin McDonald is available again after suspension which puts Ryan Tunnicliffe’s place in midfield under threat. Other than that, the Cottagers have a clean bill of health and wholesale changes are unlikely.
Last time out for QPR, Jordan Cousins, Idrissa Sylla and Olamide Shodipo made way for Karl Henry, Pawel Wszolek and Conor Washington. Sylla is expected to return at the head of attack but there are doubts about Cousins, especially in light of Sebastian Polter’s impressive goal-scoring display from the bench away to Burton. Shodipo was poor against Birmingham, so it seems likely that Wszolek will retain his starting berth on the left-flank.

Fulham had made a promising start to the season but are now without a win in 6. Ill discipline has cost them on a couple of occasions but other than that, it’s difficult to understand why it’s been going so wrong. They were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Bristol City before being thumped 0-4 by the same side in the Championship. However, last time out saw a slight improvement as they battled back to draw 1-1 away at Nottingham Forest.
Queens Park Rangers arrive in shocking form. A 0-6 drubbing at the hands of Newcastle started a 3 game losing streak which included 2-1 defeats away at Huddersfield and at home to Sunderland respectively. Since then they have registered back to back 1-1 draws against both Birmingham and Burton Albion and can’t seem to buy a win at the moment.
QPR played some nice football towards the end of the draw with Birmingham but they failed to carry that into the next game against Burton. Just a single clean sheet in the last 10 fixtures speaks volumes and even the horror show against Newcastle does not account for the amount of goals they have been letting in.
Given that it’s a derby, both teams will be up for this one. Fulham have won the last 3 times these teams have met, winning comfortably each time. In fact, QPR have failed to score in 4 of their 5 consecutive defeats as visitors against Fulham and their leaky defence is enough to persuade us to side with the hosts once more.
