Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome Norwich City to Molineux for a televised match this Saturday. Read the match predictions to find out why Wolves are the betting tip to beat Norwich in the Championship.

Wolves v Norwich Preview

Wolves are posting patchy form at the moment, which has resulted in a modest mid-table standing at 11th position with 15 points. Norwich had their winning run cut short in a midweek thriller at Newcastle but still occupy 2nd spot with 20 points.

Walter Zenga is likely to revert to something similar to the setup that proved successful against Brentford after things went pear shaped at Wigan. Silvio and Borthwick-Jackson will contest the left-back berth but the rest of the defence is likely to be unchanged. Saiss is likely to adopt a more defensive role behind a midfield quartet, with Bödvarsson in line to oust Cavaleiro in attack as the lone striker.

Norwich could make some changes here after letting a seemingly unassailable lead slip last time out. Sebastien Bassong didn’t have the best of games against his former employers and may be replaced by Klose in the heart of defence. The front three of Brady, Murphy and Jerome all had a hand in the goals, so look set to remain. Elsewhere, Howson could be dropped to accommodate Wes Hoolahan, given Tettey’s solid performance in midfield.

Wolves v Norwich Prediction

Wolves boss Walter Zenga has been talking about the need for consistency and it’s just not happening right now. After getting a fantastic 0-2 win away at Newcastle, they then lost to them by the same scoreline in the EFL Cup just days later. In their penultimate match, Wolves cruised to a 3-1 success over Brentford but were then beaten 2-1 away to Wigan last time out.

Home comforts clearly affect the way they play with just the one loss at Molineux in 12 Championship outings. That’s also echoed in their recent form against Norwich in front of their own fans, with no loss in 11 matches against the Canaries.

Norwich were absolutely flying until their mid-week capitulation away to Newcastle, where they surrendered a 1-3 lead to lose 4-3 and miss out on top spot. Prior to that setback, they had knocked Everton out of the EFL Cup and secured a very convincing 3-1 win at home to Burton Albion.

Alex Neil has a job on to lift his players for this match after letting a seemingly nailed on victory slip through their hands. They’ll be determined to set that right but a trip to Wolves is no mean feat. If the hosts perform as they have done on home turf in recent weeks, they should nick three points and extend their impressive record over Norwich.
