Premier League newcomers Burnley welcome Arsenal to Turf Moor on Sunday. Read the match predictions to find out why Arsenal are the betting tip to take all three points.

Burnley vs Arsenal Preview

Burnley are no strangers to struggling in this league and find themselves in 13th position with 7 points after 6 matches. The Gunners have been firing of late and are sitting pretty in 3rd place with 13 points.

The Clarets will definitely be without Andre Gray as he continues his suspension for breaking social media guidelines. Sean Dyche is reported to have no fresh injury concerns so could stick with the side that beat Watford on Monday night. That would mean Sam Vokes continuing as the lone striker and Steven Defour hoping to provide more creativity from midfield after laying on a couple of goals last time out.

Arsenal could have Francis Coquelin available after his speedy recovery from a knee injury. Arsene Wenger is without Olivier Giroud, Aaron Ramsey, Per Mertesacker, Danny Welbeck and Carl Jenkinson, so is unlikely to heavily rotate. Alexis Sanchez turned provider through the week, providing assists for both of Theo Walcott’s goals and the pair are likely to be a real handful for the hosts.

Burnley vs Arsenal Prediction

Burnley have been struggling for form since being promoted from the Championship. They drew 1-1 at home to fellow relegation candidates Hull City before being thumped 3-0 away at Leicester. However, last time out they beat the odds to secure a comfortable 2-0 victory over Watford who were the fotm side heading into the game.

Sean Dyche will be hoping the Clarets can build on that success but the visit of Arsenal represents a much sterner test. Burnley will need to be at their very best to compete in this one and their recent defensive record leaves a lot to be desired.

Arsenal have been getting it right at both ends of the pitch recently, scoring goals and keeping clean sheets. They cruised to a 0-4 success over Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup and then took Chelsea apart to romp to a 3-0 victory in their last Premier League match. That was followed by a convincing 2-0 success over Basel in the Champions League and this looks decidedly easier on paper.

Alexis Sanchez is revelling in his role as the central striker and has 4 Premier League goals already. Theo Walcott looks revitalised this term and is one behind the Chilean on 3. Their pace and movement will be too much for Burnley to handle and I can see nothing but an easy win for Arsenal here.
