Germany vs Northern Ireland Prediction, Betting Tips and Preview
Northern Ireland travel to face Germany in World Cup qualifying Group C this Tuesday. Read the match predictions to find out why Die Mannschaft are the betting tip to get three points in Hanover.
Germany vs Northern Ireland Preview
Germany have started as expected and top the group with 6 points after 3-0 victories away to Norway and at home to Czech Republic. Northern Ireland got their first win of the campaign at the weekend when easing to a 4-0 success at home to San Marino and occupy third spot with 4 points.
Thomas Müller took his tally to 3 goals in this qualifying section when he bagged 2 against Czech Republic and is expected to continue on the right. Mesut Özil and Julian Draxler are the other attacking midfielders who will support lone striker Mario Götze. At the back, Benedikt Höwedes came on for Jonas Hector last time and will be pushing for a start while Jérôme Boateng could be shifted over to the right to accommodate Shkodran Mustafi, with Joshua Kimmich possibly dropping to the bench.
Northern Ireland are likely to restore Kyle Lafferty to the starting lineup after he bagged a brace after coming on as a substitute against San Marino, a move that would push Josh Magennis onto the bench. Steven Davis got the ball rolling with a converted spot-kick on Saturday and is likely to continue in the engine room, with Jamie Ward playing in the hole.

Germany vs Northern Ireland Prediction
Germany bounced back from their Euro 2016 disappointment with an easy 2-0 friendly success over Finland. They are yet to concede a goal in World Cup qualifying and have looked ominously good in front of goal after putting Norway and Czech Republic to the sword.
Northern Ireland’s Euro 2016 adventure ended after a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wales. They then got a positive result when holding Czech Republic to a 0-0 draw in their opening Group C match, before easily beating San Marino. However, this will be a much tougher test.
The Green and White Army proved to be obstinate opponents for Germany when the sides last met, with a first-half strike by Mario Gomez the decisive action of the game. A quick glance at recent results shows that both sides have been keeping clean sheets, which could result in a low-scoring game here.
The visitors will try to stifle Germany and catching them on the break and the home side will see most of the ball. The way Joachim Löw’s side have been playing at the moment, I wouldn’t like to bet against them and I think they’ll record a comfortable victory, without running away with it.
