Lyon started brightly with a comfortable 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb but were edged 1-0 away to Sevilla on match day 2. Meanwhile Juve are a point better off, following a 0-0 draw with Sevilla and an easy 0-4 success away to Dinamo Zagreb.
The hosts are sweating on the fitness of Christophe Jallet but Maxwel Cornet will definitely be out. Alexandre Lacazette should come back in up-front and will be a big danger, having scored 6 times already this season. Yanga Mbiwa and Raphael are also in line to return at the back.
Juventus could have Giorgio Chiellini and Medhi Benatia back but Kwadwo Asamoah and Daniele Rugani are definitely out. Claudio Marchisio could make his return here while Gonzalo Higuain has 6 goals this season and will be looking for more, if cleared to play.

Lyon’s away form has been shocking, so they’ll be glad to be at home here. They lost 0-1 at both Lorient and Sevilla before turning in a good display to beat St Etienne 2-0 with a depleted squad. Even with players coming back though, this will be a tougher match than they’re used to.
Juventus have gone far in this competition in recent years and will be looking to win the group. They’ve scored 12 goals without reply across 4 consecutive victories and their strength at the back makes them tough to break down.
Lyon are capable of making this competitive but I feel they will struggle to score. The Old Lady have numerous attacking options that could give the hosts the runaround. I’m not expecting a cricket score but Juventus should win this comfortably enough.
