Queens Park Rangers vs Brentford Prediction, Betting Tips and Preview
Queens Park Rangers entertain Brentford in a televised match from the Championship this Friday. Read the match predictions to find out why QPR are the betting tip to get three points at Loftus Road.
Queens Park Rangers vs Brentford Preview
Queens Park Rangers had their unbeaten run ended with a 1-0 loss away to Sheffield Wednesday last time out and will be looking to bounce back here. Meanwhile, it’s all gone South for Brentford who lost 0-2 at home to Barnsley and are without a win in 4 matches.
Idrissa Sylla has 3 goals so far this season and the R’s will be pinning their hopes on the lofty striker to add to his tally here. Although nobody is in direct risk of suspension, Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink will be mindful that his players picked up 5 bookings at Hillsborough and will be asking for more discipline here.
Brentford will once again be without suspended right-back Alan McCormack. Manager Dean Smith is likely to keep faith in Scott Hogan up-front after his consolation goal away to Newcastle but the supporting cast will need to do more to get the Bees firing again.

Queens Park Rangers vs Brentford Prediction
After beating local rivals Fulham, QPR were held to a 1-1 draw by Reading before Luongo set up Sylla to score the decisive goal in a 1-0 home victory against high-flying Bristol City. They couldn’t find a way through against Sheff Wed but will fancy their chances back in front of their own fans where the R’s are unbeaten in 3.
Brentford are suffering something of a goal drought with 0-0 draws at home to Wigan and away to Derby either side of a 3-1 drubbing at league leaders Newcastle. Hogan’s goal in that game came once the damage was done and despite their best efforts, they couldn’t fight back against Barnsley last time.
QPR have kept things tight since their horror show against Newcastle and given that Brentford are misfiring, they may just register a second successive clean sheet at home. Barnsley’s opener may have been fortuitous but Brentford’s defensive frailties were plain to see and I fancy the home side to edge this.
