Premier League preview – Bournemouth vs Sunderland prediction

Bournemouth’s first choice left back Charlie Daniels might not be fit for Saturday’s home match against Sunderland, and summer signing Tyrone Minges is a long term absentee in the same position. Winger Max Gradel remains injured while fringe player Harry Arter is a doubt.

Adam Johnson and Stephen Fletcher are unlikely to return for the Black Cats and Adam Mathews remains on the treatment table. Dick Advocat will field a simillar team to last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, after his side put in a good performance and were unlucky to come away with nothing.

Possible Line-ups

Prediction

Bournemouth have had an up and down start to the season having lost their first two games against Aston Villa and Liverpool, failing to score in both. However, they picked up a stunning 4-3 victory away at West Ham courtesy of a Callum Wilson hat-trick, and the deadline day aquisition of Glenn Murray to partner the quick centre forward was a smart buy.

Sunderland’s season on the other hand has been more or less all down. They conceded seven goals in their first two games but, after perhaps the earliest team crisis meeting in history, they have managed to stabalise the slump a little.

Advocat’s men arguably put in their best performance of the season against Spurs last week, so they might be able ride that momentum and snatch a win on the south coast. They still have problems in the back four though, the new centre back partnership of John O’Shea and Younes Kaboul looking shaky.
