Sunderland make the long journey down to Bournemouth this Saturday. Read the match predictions to find out why a home win is the betting tip for this Premier League match. The hosts were unbeaten in 4 prior to slipping up in a 2-0 defeat away at Middlesbrough last weekend. Meanwhile, Sunderland still await their first league win of the campaign after a heavy 1-4 loss at home to Arsenal.
Bournemouth vs Sunderland Preview
Bournemouth are still without Lewis Cook while Marc Pugh and Junior Stansislas are both doubtful. If the latter fails to pass a late fitness test, then Joshua King will continue on the right-flank opposite Jordan Ibe. Jack Wilshere will play in the hole behind lone striker Callum Wilson.
Sunderland have numerous players out injured and manager David Moyes is also banned for the trip to the South coast. Sebastian Larsson, Fabio Borini, Jan Kirchhoff, Vito Mannone, Jason Denayer and Lee Cattermole are all sidelined but Adnan Januzaj could start, having come off the bench against Arsenal last time.

Bournemouth vs Sunderland Prediction
The Cherries will be confident of bouncing back to winning ways on home soil this weekend where they are unbeaten in their last three, winning two of those. Bournemouth have netted 7 times in that period and conceded just one, impressively keeping clean sheets against Everton and Tottenham. They also put 6 past Hull City between those matches and will be confident of overcoming another relegation threatened side.
The Black Cats gave their fans a glimmer of hope with a well-earned 1-1 draw against West Brom but have lost four successive games since then. The 2-0 defeat to Stoke was an opportunity to move off the bottom which they didn’t take. Then back-to-back 1-0 losses at Southampton and West Ham preceded the latest humiliation against Arsenal.
Sunderland have failed to score in their last 3 away matches and were unable to find a breakthrough when losing the corresponding fixture last season. Bournemouth are a confident tip to bounce back to winning ways and are taken to do so by registering a repeat of the 2-0 scoreline from that match.

Premier League preview – Bournemouth vs Sunderland prediction
Bournemouth’s first choice left back Charlie Daniels might not be fit for Saturday’s home match against Sunderland, and summer signing Tyrone Minges is a long term absentee in the same position. Winger Max Gradel remains injured while fringe player Harry Arter is a doubt.
Adam Johnson and Stephen Fletcher are unlikely to return for the Black Cats and Adam Mathews remains on the treatment table. Dick Advocat will field a simillar team to last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, after his side put in a good performance and were unlucky to come away with nothing.

Sunderland: 4-2-3-1 formation: Pantilimon; Jones, O’Shea, Kaboul, Van Aanholt; Gomez, M’Villa; Lens, Toivonen, Fabrini; Defoe

Prediction
Bournemouth have had an up and down start to the season having lost their first two games against Aston Villa and Liverpool, failing to score in both. However, they picked up a stunning 4-3 victory away at West Ham courtesy of a Callum Wilson hat-trick, and the deadline day aquisition of Glenn Murray to partner the quick centre forward was a smart buy.
Sunderland’s season on the other hand has been more or less all down. They conceded seven goals in their first two games but, after perhaps the earliest team crisis meeting in history, they have managed to stabalise the slump a little.
Advocat’s men arguably put in their best performance of the season against Spurs last week, so they might be able ride that momentum and snatch a win on the south coast. They still have problems in the back four though, the new centre back partnership of John O’Shea and Younes Kaboul looking shaky.
