Queens Park Rangers entertain Norwich City in the Championship on Saturday. Read the match predictions to find out why a home win is the betting tip at Loftus Road. The R’s drew 1-1 away at Nottingham Forest before the international break while the Canaries were beaten 2-3 at home to Leeds United.

Queens Park Rangers vs Norwich City Preview

QPR have lost midfielder Karl Henry to suspension after his red card in the draw against Nottingham Forest. Left-back Jake Bidwell is also out with a dislocated shoulder but striker Jamie Mackie is set to resume training after a lengthy absence. Ben Gladwin, Massimo Luongo, Sandro and Steven Caulker are all doubtful and will be assessed prior to kick-off.

Norwich could welcome back John Ruddy between the sticks after Michael McGovern sustained a knee injury. Midfielder Alex Tettey returns from suspension but Pinto and Martin Olsson have fitness to prove. Johnny Howson is definitely out along with Matt Jarvis and Steven Whittaker.

Queens Park Rangers vs Norwich City Prediction

Queens Park Rangers find themselves in the lower reaches of the table after a difficult start to the season. They were arguably unlucky to lose 1-0 away to Sheffield Wednesday three games back but were simply not good enough in the 0-2 home defeat to Brentford. The battled back to salvage a point in an ill-tempered away game at Nottingham Forest and will be looking to kick on with a new man at the helm.

Norwich City are in a real rut right now and defeat in this match will intensify the pressure on under-fire boss Alex Neil. The Canaries were knocked out of the EFL Cup on penalties after a 2-2 draw with Leeds United and then put in a dismal display to lose 5-0 to promotion rivals Brighton & Hove Albion. Having missed their chance for revenge against Leeds last time out, Norwich have dropped to fifth, 7 points off an automatic promotion spot.

QPR have lost just one of their last four home matches while Norwich have won just one of their last five away games and have failed to win in the last three on the road. New managers often cause a spike in results and I’m tipping that to be the case here. Norwich will make this a contest but I simply don’t trust their defence to stand firm.
