Swansea City play host to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday. Read the match predictions to find out why a draw is the betting tip at the Liberty Stadium. The Swans earned an unlikely 1-1 draw away to Everton in their last match while Crystal Palace were beaten 1-2 at home to Manchester City.

Swansea City vs Crystal Palace Preview

Swansea City welcomed Nathan Dyer back to the first team for the draw at Everton and he may start on the bench here. Ki Sung-yueng is out with a broken toe, joining full-back Jefferson Montero in the treatment room. Gylfi Sigurdsson could be afforded a more advanced role in an attack-minded setup

Crystal Palace are without Pape Souare, Loic Remy and Jonathan Benteke through injury. Steve Mandanda remains a doubt, so Wayne Hennessey may continue between the sticks in his absence. Bakary Sako is likely to start on the bench with Townsend, Puncheon and Zaha supporting lone striker Christian Benteke.

Swansea City vs Crystal Palace Prediction

Swansea City are in dire straits at the moment but they defied the odds to claim a draw away to Everton last time out and will be looking to build on that here. They sit bottom of the table but a win over Palace could move them to within 2 points of safety, if results elsewhere go in their favour.

Crystal Palace are sinking like a stone and from the outside looking in, it’s clear where the problem lies. The Eagles haven’t kept a Premier League clean sheet since April, a run of 17 games during which they’ve won just 4 matches. No wonder Alan Pardew’s odds have been trimmed in Next Manager Sacked betting.

Swansea really need to win this to boost their chances of avoiding relegation. Meanwhile a loss for Palace would more than likely see Pardew given the boot. I just feel there’s a cloud over both sides and can’t place faith in either of them to win this, so a draw looks like the best bet.
