Queens Park Rangers vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Prediction, Betting Tips and Preview
Queens Park Rangers take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship this Thursday. Read the match predictions to find out why a home win is the betting tip at Loftus Road. The R’s were beaten 3-0 away to Ipswich Town at the weekend but Wolves were also losers, going down 0-2 at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
Queens Park Rangers vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Preview
QPR are without Steven Caulker and Jack Robinson for the visit of Wolves. Jamie Mackie is training again after a lengthy absence and Ben Gladwin has fitness to prove but Massimo Luongo is fit again following an illness. He will come back into central midfield alongside Jordan Cousins, releasing Tjaronn Chery to link up with the forwards.
Wolves have a growing injury list with Joe Mason, Ola John, Lee Evans, Mike Williamson, Michal Zyro and Jordan Graham sidelined. To make matters worse, Joao Teixeira is suspended but Danny Batth is available again after serving his ban. He should return to central defence to give Kortney Hause some much needed support. The visitors will go with a lone-striker for this one.

Queens Park Rangers vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Prediction
Queens Park Rangers have recently appointed a familiar face in Ian Holloway, who certainly knows his way around the club. He got off to a brilliant start when QPR landed the odds for this column to beat Norwich 2-1 in his first match in charge. The Hoops were not at the same level away to Ipswich and will be looking to bounce back in front of their own fans here.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have also switched managers, with Paul lambert now in the hot seat. They looked more organised in defence for his first game in charge, when drawing 0-0 away to Preston North End but the conservative tactics meant there was little attacking bite from Wolves. It was more of the same against Sheff Wed and they’ll need to take more risks to get back in the goal-scoring groove.
6 of the last 7 meetings between these sides have produced under 2.5 goals and that stat also applies to 6 of Wolves’ last 7 away games in the Championship. The visitors are without a league win in 9 matches and I can see QPR taking the points here to extend that dismal run into double figures.
