Central midfielder Dominik Kohr returns from suspension and could line up for Augsburg when they host FC Koln on Friday night. Right-back Paul Verhaegh was taken off with a hamstring injury at the weekend which will rule him out for the remaining three games. Midfielder Daniel Baier also limped off against Wolfsburg but his knee appears to be fine after resuming training and he should make the starting eleven. Icelandic striker Alfreo Finnbogason scored his third goal in three games and is expected to be selected ahead of Raul Bobadilla.
Koln manager Peter Stoger has virtually a full-strength squad with only suspended winger Leonardo Bittencourt unavailable. Danish defender Frederick Sorenson returned from a three-week absence to set up Anthony Modeste for the second of his two goals in the 4-1 victory over Darmstadt last weekend. Stoger may be tempted to stay with the same starting eleven which would leave right-back Pawel Olkwowski waiting for his first start for over two months while defender Dominique Heintz, midfielder Kevin Vogt and centre forward Simon Zoller are also pushing for places.
