Barnsley meet Fulham in the Championship this Saturday. Read the match predictions to find out why a draw is the betting tip for these out of form sides.

Barnsley vs Fulham Preview

Barnsley lost 2-1 away to Leeds before the international break and have dropped to tenth in the table. Fulham are 2 points worse off after they too lost, 1-2 to local rivals Queens Park Rangers

This match will probably come too soon for James Bree who remains a doubt with hamstring trouble, allowing Andy Yiadom to continue at right-back. Saidy Janko has a torn thigh muscle and remains sidelined with long-term absentee Sessi D’Almeida. Conor Hourihane is the one to watch out for with 3 goals from midfield this season.

Fulham midfielder Kevin McDonald is serving the final match of a three-game ban. Ryan Fredericks has resumed full training after ankle surgery but will have his fitness assessed along with Floyd Ayite and Tomas Kalas who are both doubtful. Tom Cairney has been a star performer for Fulham and could be the danger-man on the right-flank.

Team Predictions Barnsley vs Fulham

Barnsley 4-4-2 formation: Davies; Kpekawa, Roberts, MacDonald, Yiadom; Hammill, Hourihane, Scowen, Kent; Armstrong, Winnall

Fulham 4-2-3-1 formation: Button; Malone, Ream, Sigurdsson, Odoi; Tunnicliffe, Parker; Piazon, Aluko, Cairney; Martin

Barnsley vs Fulham Prediction

The Tykes ran into a form side when losing 2-0 away at Brighton before drawing 1-1 at home to Aston Villa. They didn’t play with any belief away to Leeds and never really looked like getting anything out of the game, despite clawing one back courtesy of an own goal.

Fulham were totally outclassed in a 0-4 drubbing by Bristol City but improved on recent results to get a point at Nottingham Forest, following a 1-1 draw. They looked competitive against QPR but were done by a late goal and their winless streak now stretches to 7 matches.

Barnsley have only lost once at home in the Championship this season while despite Fulham’s poor form, they’re yet to lose on the road. The hosts have only failed to score once but tend to let one in, which may give the low-scoring Cottagers some encouragement.

Neither team is on song at the moment and I’m going to sit on the fence to predict the draw. Although Barnsley have been involved in some high-scoring matches, there’s a bit of value in the Under 2.5 goals bet while my Correct Score prediction reflects that neither side can keep a clean sheet.
