Dortmund are without injured duo Marco Reus and Erik Durm while Mario Gotze is a long-term absentee for the hosts. Thomas Tuchel is also sweating over the fitness of Andre Schurrle, Shinji Kagawa and Julian Weigl, though the latter could be fit to start. BVB are expected to revert to a four man defence here but will still have plenty going forward to support Aubameyang in the attack.

Monaco have Tiemoue Bakayoko suspended but Kamil Glik returns from a ban and will come straight back in alongside Jemerson in central defence. Boschilia and Guido Carrillo are out, while Djibril Sidibe is set to miss out and will be replaced by Andrea Raggi at right-back. Borussia Dortmund let Real Madrid know that they were in a game both home and away in the group phase and have looked brilliant in the knockout rounds. They probably should have been out of sight after the away leg to Benfica but made amends for spurning a hatful of opportunities with a stellar performance to set up this tie (see video above).

Monaco are leading the way in Ligue 1 and are a team to be feared by anyone, given their prowess in front of goal. They played their part in a thrilling 5-3 defeat away to Manchester City before winning the return leg 3-1 to progress on the away goals rule. Their achilles heel is stamina, as they play with so much energy and often become fatigued towards the end of games.

For me, this has the look of an absolute thriller. Both teams like to play on the front foot and an open and exciting game is anticipated. I think Borussia Dortmund are susceptible to letting in a goal or two but their home advantage makes them a solid pick. I expect Monaco to weaken towards the end of the game and the home side should be able to nick a winner.
