Brentford take on Norwich in a televised Championship match this Saturday. Read the match predictions to find out why an away win is the betting tip at Griffin Park. The Bees were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Cardiff City in their last match while the Canaries went down 3-1 away to Reading.

Brentford vs Norwich Preview

Brentford will be without left-back Rico Henry who has a shoulder injury. He joins long-term absentee Alan Judge who is continuing his recovery from a broken leg on the sidelines. Romaine Sawyers is one booking away from a suspension, so will need to keep his discipline. Sulley Kaikai will hope to oust Lasse Vibe after coming off the bench to bag a brace last time out.

Norwich have both Jonny Howson and Robbie Brady suspended for the visit to Griffin Park. Conor McGrandles is also out injured with a fractured leg. Martin Olsson looks set to return to the defence while Wes Hoolahan should start in attacking midfield. Nelson Oliveira is finding the net, so should keep his place as lone-striker ahead of Cameron Jerome.

Team Predictions Brentford vs Norwich

Norwich 4-2-3-1 formation: Ruddy; Olsson, Bassong, Bennett, Pinto; Dorrans, Tettey; Murphy, Naismith, Hoolahan; Oliveira

Brentford vs Norwich Prediction

Having started the season brightly, Brentford have fallen out of contention for the playoffs. The Bees managed back-to-back wins at home to Burton Albion and away at Bristol City before going down 1-0 away to Leeds. They were not at the same level when drawing with Cardiff on Boxing Day and will need to raise their game for this match.

Norwich were tipped to bounce back at the first time of asking and a poor run has seen the pressure intensify on Alex Neil. His Canaries looked to have turned a corner when winning a second consecutive home game 1-0 against an in-form Aston Villa side. However, a 1-2 defeat away to Huddersfield Town followed and it’s back to the drawing board after the loss at Reading.

Neither side is in particularly good form but Norwich have won 5 of their last 6 matches against Brentford in all competitions. The latest of those was a 5-0 thrashing at Carrow Road just 5 games ago, although I doubt this game will be so one sided. The last 4 meetings between these sides has produced over 2.5 goals and another entertaining game is anticipated.
