Brighton are unbeaten in their last five matches and have only lost three of their last thirteen. However, The Seagulls find themselves just two points above the bottom three and are battling to survive the drop back into The Championship. A cup run perhaps is not what Brighton need right now but their convincing 3-1 win over League Two Coventry City at the weekend will give the players confidence going into Saturday’s match.
Losing only to Chelsea (twice) and West Brom since mid-December, manager Chris Hughton will be positive his side can take away points from this match despite their opponents’ recent turn in form.
Goalkeeper Tim Krul will miss Saturday’s game after coming off at halftime in Brighton’s FA Cup game against Coventry at the weekend and will be replaced by Mat Ryan. Houghton doesn’t have any other fresh injury concerns although Steve Sidwell and Jiri Skalak will remain out. Dutch striker Jürgen Locadia will likely start up front alongside Glenn Murray after impressing with a goal on his debut after transferring from PSV in January.
Swansea‘s season made a U-turn after the New Year and The Swans have only lost once in 2018, picking up 5 wins and 5 draws. Surprising victories over the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool have seen them climb out of the bottom three into 16th place but still only one point above 3rd-bottom Southampton.
Swansea manager Carlos Carvalhal has worked his magic on the players since being appointed in December but he knows they aren’t away from danger yet and these are must-win games if they are going to remain a Premier League club next season.

Leon Britton and Alfie Mawson are unlikely to recover from their injuries in time for the weekend while Renato Sanches, Wilfried Bony and Leroy Fer all remain out injured.
