Nottingham Forest look to have turned a corner and come into this match on a three-game winning streak. They were good value for the 0-2 success away to Ipswich and made better use of their chances in a 2-5 thriller away to Barnsley. However, they were less than convincing against Newcastle, despite playing half of the game with two extra players on the pitch.
