Premier League football tips – Everton vs Man Utd prediction

Everton have picked themselves up over the last month or so and were 1-0 victors at Goodison Park last week against a valiant Burnley side that gave 100% as they always tend to do.

Manchester United’s run of good form came to an end away at champions-elect Chelsea, with Eden Hazard delivering the crucial blow that meant Louis Van Gaal’s side went home empty handed.

Probable lineups

Everton (4-2-3-1) Howard; Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Baines; McCarthy, Barry; Lennon, Barkley, Mirallas; Lukaku

Manchester United (4-1-4-1) De Gea; Valencia, McNair, Smalling, Shaw; Herrera; Mata, Fellaini, Rooney, Young; Falcao

  • Everton have won six, drawn one and lost three of their last 10 games
  • Manchester United have won seven, drawn none and lost three of their last 10 games
  • Over the course of their previous 10 matches, Everton have scored an average of 1.5 goals and conceded an average of 1.3 goals per game
  • Over the course of their previous 10 matches, Manchester United have scored an average of 2 goals and conceded an average of 1 goal per game
  • There have been over 2.5 goals scored in five of Everton’s previous 10 matches
  • There have been over 2.5 goals scored in seven of Manchester United’s previous 10 matches
  • The last time these teams met, Manchester United came away with all three points, winning 2-1 at Old Trafford with the winner coming through Radamel Falcao.

With the game being played at Goodison Park, this one is set to be a tricky fixture to predict, neither side go into the game in particularly bad form and both are playing decent passing football.

Manchester United will slightly edge this one though.
