Fiorentina have hit a bad patch of form which has seen them pick up just 6 points from their last 8 games. They are currently 11th in the league with 32 points which is enough to all but guarantee safety but it leaves them 9 points adrift of a Europa League place. Although there is more than enough time to close that gap, there are teams above them who are in much better form and are more likely to secure that spot.
They come into this fixture following a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to Atalanta which most would consider a decent result.
