Free golf betting tips for the BMW International Open, this week’s European PGA tour event at Golf Club Gut Laerchenof in Cologne. A good quality field headed by the likes of Danny Willett, Henrik Stenson and Sergio Garcia has assembled in Germany this week when the event returns to the Jack Nicklaus-designed course which played host in 2012 and 2014. The venue has also been used by the European Tour in the past to host the German Masters (1998-2005) and the Mercedes-Benz Championship (2007-2009).

The Par 72 7,229yd layout is a flat track with quite tight fairways, and water featuring on fifty per cent of the holes. Previous course winners around here predominantly fall into the category of steady performers rather than power hitters, and with hot sunshine and only light winds forecast for the tournament, expect a low scoring renewal this year. Post Major fatigue has to be considered for punting purposes for the players who arrive here from a physically and mentally draining week at Oakmont. This week’s betting tips arrive and nice and fresh having missed the US Open last week.

BMW International Open Golf Tips

Ross Fisher 35/1 E/W Betfred Ross Fisher is fancied to go well at a track where he has performed well in the past. He finished third here in the 2008 Mercedes-Benz Championship, and also finished Tied 8th in the BMW International Open in 2012, and arrives here off the back of an eye-catching 6th place finish in the recent Nordea Masters in Sweden. His stats in Sweden showed all parts of his game looked in rude health, including his sometimes suspect putting, indicating this chirpy individual could go well again this week. The fact many of his market rivals could well be fatigued from Oakmont is another positive in my opinion. Tyrrell Hatton 33/1 E/W Coral One of the players touted to break his maiden tag in the near future is the in-form Tyrrell Hatton who has posted some solid performances in top quality events in recent weeks. The feisty Englishman contended at the business end in both the Irish Open (Tied 5th) and also the BMW PGA Championship (Tied 7th) and is another player who will have benefited from a week off last week. He finished a perfectly respectable Tied 22nd on his course debut in 2014, so there is every chance he can better that effort this year, particularly if he can control his emotions on Sunday Afternoon. Hopefully having a bagman Chris Rice who previously worked for the equally volatile Pablo Larrazabal will help get our man in the winners enclosure this week.
