Free Horse Racing Tip – Hennessy Gold Cup
The 33-1 available with most bookmakers for Ben Pauling’s charge can prove way too generous and we’re selecting the seven-year-old as this week’s horse racing tip.

Our racing tip showed his liking for plenty of cut in the ground on his final start in Ireland when in the care of Michael Hourigan by running out an easy winner of a novice hurdle at Thurles. He later joined his current handler for a career over the bigger obstacles. Sent off a generous 12-1 on his chase debut at Huntingdon back in January, the mount of Nico de Boinville put 38 lengths between himself and the useful even money favourite Fletchers Flyer. Such was the impression created that the gelding started a well-backed 7-4 chance for his next start in Ascot’s Grade 2 Reynoldstown Chase the following month.
A disappointing fourth behind fellow rival Vyta Du Roc at the Berkshire track, but the form should not be taken at face value. Drumacoo “wasn’t right when he came home” according to Pauling, who rates his inmate”very good but very fragile.” With that in mind the best time to catch the promising chaser could be first time out and, off a mark of just 143, may have been underestimated by the handicapper based on that impressive Huntingdon victory.
The in-form Colin Tizzard stable hold a strong hand with ante-post favourite Native River as well as Theatre Guide who has been placed twice in the race previously while impressive Cheltenham Festival scorer Un Temps Pour Tout goes into the race on the back of a victory over hurdles recently and looks sure to go close. Last year’s winner Smad Place will have plenty of support despite top weight along with one of last season’s top novices Blaklion but at around three times the price Drumacoo is the top tip in a fascinating renewal.
