Galatasaray vs Atletico Madrid Prediction and Preview – 15/09/15
Champions League preview – Galatasaray vs Atletico Madrid prediction
Galatasaray are defintely without two players for the visit of Atletico in the Champions League. Hamit Altintop and Semih Kaya are out with injury and therefore, the team could remain mainly unchanged from that which drew 1-1 with Mersin in the domestic league at the weekend. One possible change could be the inclusion Aurelien Chedjou at the heart of the Galatasaray defence.
Atletico Madrid will be missing first choice left-back Filipe Luis, who picked up an injury in the 2-1 home defeat to Barcelona at the weekend. That should mean a start for Guilherme Siqeueira in the back four. Jackson Martinez and Antoine Griezmann are expected to start in attack for Diego Simeone’s team.
Possible Line-ups
Galatasaray: 4-2-3-1 formation: Muslera; Sarioglu, Chedjou, Balta, Adin; Rodriguez, Inan; Oztekin, Sneijder, Podolski; Yilmaz
Atletico Madrid: 4-4-2 formation: Oblak; Juanfran, Godin, Gimenez, Siqeueira; Koke, Gabi, Tiago, O. Torres; Griezmann, Martinez

Prediction
Galatasaray have endured a difficult start to the season in Turkey and currently find themselves in 8th place in the Super Lig table. A 1-1 draw at home against Mersin on the weekend will have done little to inspire confidence ahead of this match and the Turkish club have failed to win any of their previous 8 matches in European competition.
Despite suffering defeat at the hands of Barcelona at the weekend, Atletico Madrid have had a good start to the season. Currently 6th in the Primera Divison table, Atletico enjoyed an excellent 3-0 away victory against Sevilla prior to the international break and seem more than capable of going to the Turk Telecom Arena and taking all 3 points back to Spain.
Much is made of the intimidating atmosphere when Turkish clubs play in Europe, however, this should not have much impact on a team like Atletico Madrid and Simeone will be expecting to come away with maximum points.
