It plays around 7435 yards, consisting of undulating fairways and lightening fast greens. It helps to be long around here and favours a high draw. Players have to bring a very good putting touch, as the winner will have to hole a clutch of nerve jangling 6 & 7 footers for par. Holes to look out for are the Par 5s, 13th and 15th, where in-form players can really make a score over the four days, and for me the run of holes from 9 to 11 are the ones to survive. If I have an in-running punt on Sunday, I will wait for those holes to be completed.

He’s bringing his A game here and already has a win under his belt at the Northern Trust, which is exactly the route he took a few years back. His driving is such an attribute to have at Augusta with his length allowing him to take lines of the tees that others just can’t. This allows him to be playing 9 irons to greens, where others will be taking at least three more clubs. If he can get the putter to perform he will have a big week here.
