Free golf betting tips for the Omega European Masters. The event returns to the spectacularly beautiful Crans-sur-Sierre course in Switzerland and is always one of my favourite betting events of the summer.

It’s a real fiddly type of course, not overly long at 6848 yards, but still sets a demanding exam on this Par 70 lay out. This week’s golf tip requires accuracy off the tee. Players with accurate iron play will do well here, as the holes are tree lined and finding the greens in regulation is a must this week. The upturned saucer-like greens will gather any errant shots and the sound of gnashing of teeth as the ball trickles off these greens will be echoing in the Alps with regularity. Water around many of the holes have been added over the years, but this course has plenty of birdie chances for the players who can map their way around this course. Weather looks decent, with only some showers forecast for Sunday.

In deciding on a golf betting tip, players who have done well in the past do seem to have an advantage, which isn’t surprising as it’s one of the hardest courses on the European Tour to feel at ease with. Competitors either love coming back here or gradually get frustrated with the nature of the course.

Omega European Masters Golf Tips

Tyrrell Hatton 18/1 E/W Coral 2016 has been a real breakout season for the sometimes tempestuous Hatton. He has always been hampered by an alarming temper on the course. He has made great strides in keeping an even temperament this year and results have subsequently improved. He was mightily impressive in the USPGA Major and that tenth place will of given his confidence a boost coming into the last few months of the season. He has form here, and was third last year with a blistering 62 in the last round, as well as the year before, and if not too jaded should go well again. Mathew Fitzpatrick 18/1 E/W Paddy Power (7 places) It's been a very up and down season for the Sheffield-born former US Amateur Champion. Trying to qualify for the Ryder Cup may have caused a little more stress than usual over the summer but with that target achieved, I'm hoping that this course will play into the hands of this accurate, patient player. He was second here in 2015 and it will be no surprise if he builds a catalogue of high finishes here in years to come. Lets hope he stays on the European Tour! It's time Fitz performed again and this course obviously fits his eye. If the putts drop he will go very well as he's an outstanding player tee to green. Bradley Dredge Top Ten Market 7/2 Sky Bet For my last golf tip I will put up the rejuvenated Bradley Dredge. It's amazing to think he was playing for 10 grand only a few years ago in a lowly event at Longhirst Hall in Northumberland, when he had lost his card and form, mainly attributable to health problems. But happily, he's back to his best at an event that he absolutely loves. He won the Omega Masters in 2006 and has had a 2nd and 3rd also. He appears to be enjoying his golf at the moment and was just tipped off from winning last week. Dredge hasn't won in ten years and can be a little flaky under pressure, so I think a Top Ten finish is the way to go here. Whilst his form is a little patchy, he does seem to play well for a few weeks before going off the boil again, and hopefully ,we have just caught him at the right time.
