Hearts vs Aberdeen United Prediction, Betting Tips and Preview
Hearts take on Aberdeen in a televised Scottish Premiership match this Friday. Read the match predictions to find out why a draw is the betting tip at Tynecastle. The Jam Tarts won 4-0 at home to Kilmarnock last time out while the Dons ran out 2-1 winners at home to Hamilton Academical.
Hearts vs Aberdeen Preview
Hearts are missing three players with knee injuries. Left-winger Sam Nicholson is continuing his rehabilitation after an operation while central midfielders Prince Buaben and Don Cowie are also out. Jamie Walker had a brilliant game against Kilmarnock, finishing the game with two goals. He’ll provide support to lone striker Bjorn Johnsen here.
Aberdeen are not far off a full compliment here, with suspended striker Jayden Stockley the only unavailable player. Right midfielder Jonny Hayes will need to be on his best behaviour, as a booking in this match will result in a ban. Adam Rooney bagged the decisive goal against Hamilton and will be supported by Kenny McLean in the hole.

Hearts vs Aberdeen Prediction
New Hearts boss Ian Cathro had a tough start with a 2-0 loss away to Rangers. That was followed by a 1-1 draw at home to Partick Thistle and the 3-2 loss at Dundee really could have gone either way. The scoreline against Kilmarnock didn’t flatter Jambos, as they created plenty of chances and could have fired in a few more goals.
Aberdeen are posting patch form and now sit just three points ahead of Hearts. They couldn’t break down St Johnstone before losing 2-1 away to Ross County but bounced back to beat Motherwell 1-3 away before Christmas. They left it later than they would have liked against Hamilton but nevertheless arrive at Tynecastle looking for a third consecutive win.
It looks as if Hearts’ work on the training ground is beginning to pay dividends and I can see them trying to get on the front foot here. Aberdeen will look to limit their chances and carry a goal threat of their own. I can see this being an open and entertaining game but it could be honours even at the end of play.
