Tony Watt has 3 goals to his name so far this season and the Jambos will be hoping there’s more to come. Callum Paterson returns to calmer waters after a turbulent stint with the national team.
Dundee boss Paul Hartley will be looking at the positives from the narrow defeat to Celtic. He packed his midfield for that match and could adopt a similar strategy for this tricky away game. Finding the net has been a problem for the Dee and the away fans will be hoping that Fayssal El Bakhtaoui can add to his single goal so far this season.

Hearts were on a good run until they slipped up in a 1-0 defeat away at St Johnstone. They then failed to find the net for a second game running in the 0-0 draw at home to Ross County but made up for it in good style by putting 3 past Motherwell last time out.
Dundee’s form makes grim reading after they were beaten 3-1, both at home to Aberdeen and away at Inverness before a spirited effort in the narrow defeat to Celtic. It’s now 7 games without success for the visitors and a loss here would be their fourth in a row.
Dundee have kept just one clean sheet this season and when we cross-reference that with Hearts’ ability to find the net more often than not, it’s not looking good for the way side. The feeling is that the hosts will find a way through, or around, what has been a pretty porous defence so far.
