A run of nineteen consecutive defeats may suggest that the son of Bahamian Bounty is in serious decline but a number of creditable efforts in competitive handicaps over the last twenty months suggest that it is only a matter of time before the seven-year-old finally gets his head in front once again.

Returning to York for his seasonal reappearance earlier this month the gelding was sent off a well-backed 8-1 chance but could never get competitive in a contest where those drawn low seemed to have a significant advantage.

In Saturday’s titanbet.co.uk Spring Sprint at 3.50 on the Knavesmire Bogart has once again been handed a high draw in stall 16 of 16, but on this occasion there should be more pace stand side so it would be no surprise to see Tom Eaves’ mount grab the rail before going on to make all.

Drawn next door in stall 15 is another potentially well-treated runner in Kimberella who can chase the selection home followed by the consistent Mick Channon inmate Shore Step.
