Leicester City lock horns with Derby County in a live FA Cup fourth round replay this Wednesday evening. Read the match predictions to find out why a home win is the betting tip at the King Power stadium. The Foxes were comfortably beaten 0-3 at home to Manchester United at the weekend while the Rams also lost 1-0 away to Newcastle United.

Leicester City vs Derby County Preview

Leicester could be without Islam Slimani and Leonardo Ulloa with the latter unlikely to play anyway after falling out with the club. Daniel Amartey is back from the African Cup of Nations but may be given more time to recuperate. Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki will lead the line for the hosts.

Derby have a number of player injured here. Inspirational midfielder Will Hughes will be a big miss and he’s joined by Max Lowe, James Wilson, Craig Forsyth and George Thorne in the treatment room. Craig Bryson is also doubtful, so Steve McClaren will have to reshuffle his pack here.

Leicester City vs Derby County Prediction

Leicester City’s poor league form has sucked them into a relegation battle and the FA Cup provides them with an opportunity to rediscover that winning feeling. The Foxes have struggled for goals in the Premier League but fashioned plenty of chances when these sides met 12 days ago and will be banking on their home advantage to give them the edge.

Derby County have been impressive since Steve McClaren took the helm and are in the hunt for a playoff place. They gave it a good go in the original fixture but ultimately could not hold onto their lead. With a depleted squad, the Rams barely threatened away to Newcastle at the weekend and it could be more of the same here.

Leicester have a fantastic record at home against Derby, winning their last 5 meetings at this venue. The Foxes have also scored at least twice in each of those matches. I think we’ll witness another competitive match between these sides but Leicester need a result right now and are tipped to get it.
