Levante vs Las Palmas Preview
Paco Lopez’ Levante squad was weakened further with news that Jason and Emmanuel Boateng have been added to the long list of injuries. Missing key players like Ivan Lopez, Alex Alegria and Raul Ferenandez, Lopez is forced to make more adjustments as he tries to avoid his team being sucked into the relegation zone in the last eight games.
Captain Jose Luis Morales will be the first name of the team sheet and could well hold the key to Levante’s survival hopes. The midfielder scored the equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Girona on Saturday and leads the club stats for goals scored (6) and assists (4).
Las Palmas defender Ximo Navarro sits out the last of his two match suspension having missed the 0-3 defeat against Real Madrid last weekend leaving David Garcia to feature in central defence. Alberto Aquilani returned to the side to face Real and is expected to keep his place in the line up along with Matias Aguirregaray and Dani Castellano. Nigerian midfielder Otebo has returned to fitness and stakes his claim to be included in the starting eleven.
Leading scorer Jonathan Calleri will lead the line and, having gone three games without a goal, will be eager to add his seven goal tally in La liga this term.

Levante vs Las Palmas Prediction
Despite the injury problems, new coach Paco Lopez has been able to galvanise his players who are unbeaten in the last four games in La Liga. Between 1-1 draws at home to Espanyol and away at Girona, Levante pulled off valuable wins at Getafe (0-1) and in the last home game (2-1 v Eibar).
The likely strike pairing of Giampolo Pazzini and Roger Marti have only mustered three goals between them in 16 league games and their goal threat has come from the midfield with Morales a profitable first player to score bet having opened the scoring five times this season.
Las Palmas have gone eight games without a victory and mus find a winning formula soon to have any chance of avoiding the drop. Famously poor travellers, Las Palmas have only won once on the road this season, defeating Malaga 3-1 all the way back in September. There has been promise of late with Paco Jemez’ side achieving draws in three of the last four away games.
Jonathan Calleri is the only genuine candidate for goalscorer bets with seven league goals, no other Las Palmas player has scored more twice in the league the season.
Levante v Las Palmas is predicted to be a low scoring affair and while a draw would probably suit the home side, Levante have enough to quality to win the game.
