Manchester United take on Everton in the Premier League on Sunday. Read the match predictions to find out why the Red Devils are the betting tip to win at Old Trafford. Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw against Stoke City in their last league match. Meanwhile Everton looked out of sorts when going down 0-3 at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United vs Everton Preview

Manchester United will be without influential midfielder Paul Pogba for the foreseeable future, after he injured his hamstring. Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic remain sidelined but there are still plenty of options both in defence and attack for the Red Devils. Romelu Lukaku will be facing his former club for the first time since leaving Goodison Park.

Everton striker Wayne Rooney is in a similar position, as he returns to Old Trafford after leaving in the summer. Expect manager Ronald Koeman to make changes here, as he will not want a repeat of the Toffee’s 3-0 defeats to Spurs and Atalanta. Idrissa Gueye, Jordan Pickford, Ashley Williams will probably come back into the side.

Manchester United vs Everton Prediction

Man United have made a brilliant start to the season, and many experts are already backing them to win the title. Jose Mourinho’s men are yet to be beaten, though Stoke City did give it a good go last week. That was the most vulnerable the Red Devils have looked so far, but they were still unlucky not to come away from the Potteries with three points.

The less said about Everton’s start the better. They have been truly woeful, particularly in the last week or so. Going down 3-0 at home to Spurs followed by a 3-0 defeat to Atalanta in the Europa League, Ronald Koeman is starting to come under a bit of pressure from the fans.

All signs point to a Manchester United win here. It would be very typical if either Lukaku or Rooney got the winner. Interestingly, Koeman has a good record against Manchester United, as he is unbeaten in three games against them. Expect that to come to an end on Sunday though.
