Prediction
Manchester United come in to this game on the back of three 0-0 draws and will be desperate to put on a good show in-front of their own fans. Louis van Gaal’s team have now scored just one goal in their last four matches and that was in the reverse fixture at CSKA, back on the 21st October. Anthony Martial may be moved to his preferred position of striker, in the hope he can fire Manchester United towards victory.
CSKA come into this game on the back of a ten match unbeaten run. They currently sit 9 points clear at the top of the Russian Premier League after 14 games played and will arrive at Old Trafford in confident mood. Having conceded just 1 goal in their last three games, Leonid Slutksy will hope his team can keep a misfiring Manchester United at bay. CSKA’s away results in the Champions League don’t make for great reading but they did defeat Manchester City away last season.
CSKA have failed to keep a Champions League clean sheet in their last 34 attempts and Manchester United may sneak home by the odd goal.
