Man Utd will be without Henrikh Mkhitaryan but Michael Carrick is fit to play after picking up a knock in the win over St Etienne. Phil Jones faces a late fitness test and Wayne Rooney will be in the squad but neither are likely to feature from the off. Eric Bailly was sent off in France but is free to play here and Daley Blind is expected to be selected ahead of Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian at left-back.

Southampton have a number of injuries to contend with, most notably Virgil van Dijk at the back and Charlie Austin up-front. Manchester United are in fantastic form at the moment and look a tough team to break down. Jose Mourinho has his defenders well organised and they have produced six clean sheets from the last seven matches. At the other end of the pitch, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is firing and has amassed 24 goals in all competitions this season (see each one in the video above).

Southampton did brilliantly to overcome Liverpool in the semi-final but results have nose-dived since then. Claude Puel’s side lost to Arsenal, Swansea and West Ham before bouncing back to winning ways against Sunderland but it’s doubtful that they’ll enjoy so much time on the ball here. With a depleted squad, Southampton are up against it here.

Man Utd have lost just once in 25 matches but the League Cup defeat at Hull still sent them through to the final on aggregate. Jose Mourinho has a knack of winning this trophy, having previously lifted it on three occasions. I think United have enough quality to come out on top here and fancy them the get the job done in 90 minutes.
