Millwall vs Fulham Preview
Millwall and Fulham have been racing up the Championship table with both clubs hopeful of promotion. Millwall will have to go through the playoff route to achieve their dream while the visitors are vying with Cardiff and Aston Villa for an automatic spot.
Ben Thompson is back in training for Millwall after missing the last 10 weeks with an ankle injury. The 22-year-old midfielder is unlikely to be fit enough to make the match day squad and is expected to watch from sidelines along with Byron Webster who is out for the season.
With no other reported injury concerns, Neil Harris could stick with the same eleven that started in the 1-1 draw at Sheffield United on Saturday. Target man Steve Morison repaid his manager’s faith in returning him to the lineup by scoring the Lions only goal in his man of the match performance and will be among the first names on the team sheet for Friday’s match.
Fulham coach Slavisa Jokanovic has virtually a full squad to choose from with midfielder Floyd Ayite the only doubt as he nears full recovery from a hamstring injury. The Serbian is expected to start with Aleksander Mitrovic in the central position up front supported by Ryan Sessegnon and Lucas Piazon out wide. Mitrovic has scored 10 goals in 12 starts since moving from Newcastle in the January window and has a personal battle with 14-goal Sessegnon to finish the club’s leading scorer by the end of the season

Millwall vs Fulham Prediction
With two impressive unbeaten records on the line, something must surely give at The Den this weekend.
Millwall’s 1-1 draw at promotion rival’s Sheffield United last weekend extended their unbeaten run in the Championship to 17 matches. The Lions have won their last three home games without conceding and given Fulham’s equally mean defence, this is expected to be a low scoring affair where one goal could be enough to earn maximum points.
Fulham also drew their last match, 1-1 at home to Brentford which they’ll feel was two points lost in their bid for an automatic promotion spot. The result stretched their unbeaten run to 21 games in the league and they arrive at The Den in search of a fifth consecutive win on the road.
Fulham attackers Mitrovic and Sessegnon pose the biggest goal scoring threat with 24 league goals between them but will be up against a highly drilled Millwall defence which gives little away. For the home side, Lee Gregory has scored 10 times in the Championship and notably, eight of those goals were the first in the game.
This is a tough game to call and could go any way. Putting our necks on the line, we’ll go with home advantage and Millwall to win.

Millwall and Fulham have only met three times this century and the fixture has only produced two goals in those three games.
The Lions won 1-0 at Craven Cottage in the early weeks of the 2014/15 Championship season and reverse fixture finished 0-0 at The Den. Fulham won 1-0 at home earlier this season when thankful for Oliver Norwood’s own goal on the stroke of half-time.
In total, 6th-placed Millwall have won 11, drawn seven and lost three of 21 home matches in the league this season. They’ve kept nine clean sheets and failed to score on three occasions.
Third-placed Fulham have won 11, drawn five and lost five of 21 away games, keeping five clean sheets and failing to score in three away games.
