Oxford vs Hartlepool – Saturday 23 April

Oxford appear to be showing signs of nerves with the last two results threatening their prospects of finishing in an automatic promotion place. They were held to a draw by third-bottom Newport on Tuesday and lost at home to mid-table Luton last weekend.  

Hartlepool went on a great run through March and have done fairly well with three wins and three defeats so far in April. They have only lost two of the last seven away games although this could be their biggest test since losing to Bristol Rovers on March 1.

Oxford’s home form does not inspire confidence with just two wins from the last nine and bet365’s odds of 2/1 for the double result Hartlepool-Draw represents great value.
