Ross County vs Celtic Prediction, Betting Tips and Preview
Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic travel to face Ross County this Wednesday. Read the match predictions to find out why Celtic are the betting tip to pick up 3 points.
Ross County vs Celtic Preview
Ross County played out a 1-1 draw away to Partick Thistle on Saturday and now sit 7th in the table. Meanwhile Celtic were in League Cup action at the weekend and booked their place in the final courtesy of a late Moussa Dembélé strike which secured a 0-1 victory over bitter rivals Rangers.
Andrew Davies is suspended, so either Erik Čikoš or Chris Routis could come in at the back for the home side. Chris Burke came off the bench to score a dramatic late equaliser at Firhill and will be pushing for a start ahead of Craig Curran.
Celtic are likely to stick with the same back four here, especially in light of Kolo Toure’s sub-standard display against Borussia Monchengladbach. Leigh Griffiths came off the bench to set up Moussa Dembélé last time out and is expected to be used as an impact sub once more.

Ross County vs Celtic Prediction
Ross County are on a Barren run and the Euphoria of the last-gasp equaliser against Partick Thistle was plain to see after a 0-2 defeat at home to St Johnstone and a 4-0 drubbing away at Aberdeen. Scoring goals has been a real problem of late for the Staggies and they come up against one of the league’s meanest defences here.
Celtic may have been found out in the Champions League but it’s been pretty much plain-sailing on the domestic front. They thrashed Kilmarnock 6-1, before edging Dundee 0-1 away and beating Motherwell 2-0. The latest cup win over Rangers made it 3 successive clean sheets against Scottish opposition and they’ll be tough to break down here.
Celtic are undefeated in 31 of their last 34 away matches in the Scottish Premiership and are beginning to find some breathing space at the top of the table. Ross County will set up to frustrate the visitors but Hoops haven’t failed to score in the league this season and I don’t see that changing here.
