Scotland vs Canada Prediction, Betting Tips and Preview
Scotland take on Canada in a live international friendly this Wednesday evening. Read the match predictions to find out why a home win is the betting tip at Easter Road. Scotland were last seen losing 3-0 to England while Canada will find this much tougher than their recent 2-4 success away to Bermuda.
Scotland vs Canada Preview
Scotland have had Grant Hanley, Matt Phillips, and James McArthur withdrawn through injury, so Gordon Strachan could hand out a few debuts here. Liam Cooper of Leeds, Celtic’s Stuart Armstrong, Fulham’s Tom Cairney and Ryan Fraser from Bournemouth are all hoping to get their first full international cap. Darren Fletcher will captain the side and Steven Fletcher will lead the line.
Canada have no fresh injury concerns ahead of this match. Dundee striker Marcus Haber will know a thing or two about his opponents, so could be a one to watch. Walsall striker Simeon Jackson is the top-scorer in the squad with six goals in 48 appearances.

Scotland vs Canada Prediction
Scotland will view this game as an ideal opportunity to rediscover the winning feeling, after back-to-back defeats in World Cup qualifying. Gordon Strachan will have one eye on the Slovenia match, so could give a few debutants their first taste of international football, with a view of resting key players.
Canada are in decent form by their standards but have recently struggled to compete against Morocco and Korea Republic. Scotland represent a similar test for the visitors and I can see the Canucks having a tough time in Edinburgh.
It would be a major shock if Scotland didn’t win and I expect them to rack up a few goals here to win comfortably. A handful of players are looking to stake a claim for a regular spot and that could inject some energy into the home side. Canada will give it a go but I can’t see them causing the hosts any trouble.
